Sometimes a little goes a long way….2

By this I mean that what you see here, is not the whole picture so to speak, it is a detail of a painting. As in my last post, here too is a whole new scenery to be discovered, but this time I leave it up to you! To be able to see several interesting details that might create a separate little universe on it’s own, in one piece of art, combined with the possibility for many interpretations, gives life to a piece  and makes it more pleasing to the eye.

In a creative proses this is also a great way to get inspiration for new art. Whether you try to copy a part of a painting on a new canvas, or just use it as a starting point, it will most likely end up as something unique. So don’t be afraid to copy, copies are very difficult to make anyway, even if you try 🙂

Available as print on canvas, 12 x 16″ at Saatchi Art

  1. I really like the color palette (both are lovely but) in the first photo; it just speaks to me. I remember a painting instructor who used to make a little viewfinder shape with her fingers, and point out a section in our work that she felt was most promising. I can see where recycling interesting bits from any “failed” work into collage would be quite satisfying!
