This is simply the view from my home and atelier, and I keep returning to it for inspiration. Looking down at the fjord and the steep mountainsides as they change colors with the light and weather throughout the day never stops to fascinate me.

The first painting is new, (85 x 48cm  / 33,46 x 18,9″) and I wanted to make a landscape with inspiration from the local mountains. As it turned out, it is still easy to connect to my home town, and to be honest I find it a bit scary without any sighn of civilisation. It reminds me about the movie The Wave, a Norwegian disaster movie made in 2015, based on a scenario that will happen in my home town one day in the future…. no I’m not joking…

The two other paintings are the view in the opposite direction, and made a few years ago. I recently made a few changes to them both, because I found the colors a bit busy on the eye. Thats what happens sometimes when you put a canvas away, and next time you see it differently. I like to think it’s because my skills have improved 🙂
