ALASKA

7-3

Since the last two paintings were so summery hot, I thought it would be nice to cool down a bit with a quick trip to Alaska 🙂

Here my buildings have become more sculptural, and one is completed with just the scenery as a contrast. Did you notice that I have switched the colors to create a further contrast in this one?

Some good news: Last week I was invited to bring a selection of art to the municipality. They are handing out an award every year to someone who has excelled for volunteering in the local community. They bought a painting in 2014 for the same award, and told me that both the recipient and the jury were so pleased that they decided to ask me again! What a nice surprise, and not to mention rewarding to contribute for a good cause. Certainly made my day, or made my week really 🙂
